We will be setting up several areas for drills, taken from a fund raising book for the Agility Association of Canada's World Team. These are exercises that the competitors of the Canadian Team at the World Championships in Belgium last year use at home to practice with their dogs. They are fun and useful. For those of you wishing to compete, they will be very useful in helping you work out a smooth flow and building team work with your dog. Rather than sit and watch and wait for others, and run a course only a few times in an hourly class, this will give you the opportunity to work more often, and trouble shoot problem areas right there. For those who just want to get some fun and exercise, these drills will offer just that. There will be no pressure at any time to be "perfect". : ) The instructors over seeing the class are experienced with many years of teaching behind them. We were the second club in Regina to offer agility classes over 15 years ago, were the first club to join the Agility Association of Canada when it was a brand new organization. Instructors have taken numerous seminars from world class instructors over the years and have competed in the fun Horse/Dog Relays held in the past, with success in the top three placements each year. We'd like to invite every student out for some fun. You must take a Basic Agility course to familiarize yourself and your dog with all the obstacles, then this class is for you! I hope that many of you take advantage of this opportunity to have some fun with your furry buddy!
