Our Obedience classes teach YOU to train your dog. They teach YOU how to be a leader, how to enforce commands and rules, how to get respect and keep it all without force or fear. All family members who are old enough to understand and control the dog should participate in the class!

WEDNESDAY December 14 - 7:15 to 8:00pm FULL WEDNESDAY February 8 - 7:15 to 8:00pm FULL WEDNEDAY March 21 - 7:15 to 8:00pm SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE Just for Puppies is a class for puppies under 5 months of age. This is a six week course that gives puppies an opportunity to learn the basic skills that will make them happy, confident companions. The focus is on skills such as sit, stay, no jump, grooming, no bite and walking comfortably on lead. Puppies will also learn how to interact appropriately with other dogs during play time at the end of each class. Our emphasis is on providing a gentle, friendly, enriching environment in which puppies can have fun learning to be good, family members. Puppies are not just "small dogs". Their needs and requirements for a positive learning experience are different than older dogs. That is why we have a cut off for ages accepted into "Just For Puppies". Adolescent dogs can bully puppies, and older dogs sometimes have little patience with puppy antics. We don't put teen aged children into kindergarten and expect them to work well with 5 year olds. An older small breed dog can give a young puppy a negative experience, even though they might be the same size. Just for Puppies is just for puppies under 5 months of age, because size does matter! Puppies do come to the first class.
